Christmas 2011-- Tommy's Family

Tommy and I were not able to spend Christmas with each other, so we did the next best thing and did it on an earlier date :)  We even had photos made with the kids!

The kids had a REALLY big Christmas this year. This is not something we plan on doing every year, but unfortunately their mother has kept all of their toys and clothes at her place, so we had to get them toys and clothes for our place!

Christmas 2011-- Elizabeth's family...

I was able to get off Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and drove up to TN on Thursday (22) to surprise my entire family (except my mother!).  My mother was too nosy and found out ahead of time...  It was a great surprise for the entire family.  Especially my Grandparents and father!  I wish I would have caught their reactions on camera!

Islands of Adventure 12/10/12

On Saturday, Tommy and I decided to take the kids to Universal's Islands of Adventure for the day.  We both have season passes, Jacob is still free, so all we had to buy was Aubrey's ticket.  We also packed snacks and sandwiches so we wouldn't have to spend money on the expensive theme park food.  We had a BLAST!  Especially Aubrey and I... Aubrey could ride a majority of the big rides, and loved every minute of it!  I cannot wait for her to be able to do the Hulk, Harry Potter, Dueling Dragons etc.  I just don't want to rush her growing up, but she is welcome to grow tall ;-)

The kids seemed to really enjoy the day.  The weather was great too.  I can't wait for Jacob to be able to ride more rides so that the 4 of us can do them together.

Although, on the entrance/exit, they have "moving sidewalks" and that seems to be Jacob's favorite part!

It was December so IOA has Grinchmas, but we did not see this Grinch this year.

Jacob and Aubrey really enjoyed the carousel... especially Jacob!  This isn't your typical carousel though...

It has Dr. Seuss characters!

We also did One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish...

It was a great day all around, and I can't wait to do it again :)

Thanksgiving-- 2011

Tommy had to work Thanksgiving Day, and I had to work Black Friday, so I picked up an extra shift for Thanksgiving Day, and we did Thanksgiving early!

Tommy and I went to the USF vs. Miami game on Saturday Nov 19th, and we did turkey day with his family on Sunday Nov 20th!

It was DELICIOUS!

Norwegian Cruise-- Bahamas :) Nov 11-14 2011

Tommy and I decided one day that we just wanted to get away.  He had time available in November, and I had some weekends off.  We both had the same idea in mind... A cruise!  With some searching around, we decided to do a long weekend in the Bahamas aboard the Norwegian Sky.  We figured hey, this could show us how strong our relationship is (especially with the size of the rooms)!

We drove down to his parents early Friday morning.  They were able to take us to the port in Miami.  We were both ecstatic to begin this mini vacation.

We had a wonderful time.  It seemed like a majority of people on the ship were Floridians taking a mini vacay.  We enjoyed drinks by the pool while we waited for our luggage to get delivered.  The funny thing was, we tried "sneaking" alcohol on to avoid such a high bill at the end.  I had a whole suitcase full of snacks, cokes, water, and liquor... along with liquor in our clothes.  Needless to say, our snack/drink bag was confiscated and searched.  My heart was pounding as they were digging through it!  I just knew they were going to know my secret, but to my surprise we passed!  We danced all the way back to the room!

We missed the initial disembarkation from port, but we were able to run out and see Miami Beach and the sunset as we sailed out to sea!

Of course it was a beautiful sight!  They had live reggae type music playing around the pool, and it fit the atmosphere and mood perfectly!

We dressed up for every dinner, and of course had our picture taken with before/after every dinner.

Our first stop was Nassau.  We both had been here before on previous cruises, so we tried to do an excursion that neither of us had done before.  We picked segway tours!  It was AWESOME!  I so want a segway!!!

We made drinks that morning, and drank them on our way to our tour.

This is us getting our "training" and instructions.

We both got to see parts of the Bahamas that we hadn't seen before with this tour.  It was also a beautiful day for it too!  Once we were done with our "tour" we went back to the ship to enjoy lunch and drinks poolside!

Tommy also was in the Sexy Legs Contest haha!  It was hysterical!  I laughed so hard with the other ladies.  Thank goodness he had a little alcohol in him, otherwise I might not have been able to talk him into it!  We will work on his "performance" for next time though ;-) Silly boy!

We finished our evening poolside, and then enjoyed the sunset as we disembarked from Nassau.

We may or may not have had alcohol all day....

We also played BINGO, and won some $$ haha!  Everyone thought we were newlyweds, it was actually quite entertaining to play along with it.

Later that evening we had dinner at one of their specialty dining places.  It was AMAZING!  We couldn't have asked for better seats, better food, better atmosphere or anything else.  It was so romantic!  Thanks to his parents for this!  We thoroughly enjoyed it!

Later that night, we decided to stay up and do the White Hot Party!  We had both been "old fogies" the night before and went to bed early, in fact we are always "old farts" and go to bed on a daily basis before 10!
I got Tommy to dance :)

The next day we went to Great Stirrup Cay for our second stop.  It was a very beautiful, yet windy day.

I was very thankful we brought our own snorkel gear and had not spent the money on their "excursion," bc there was absolutely nothing to see except a sandy bottom!  We are both certified scuba divers, and would have been VERY disappointed!

That night we enjoyed another meal in the dining room, and called it an early night (typical)!  We both knew how early the next morning comes when you have to pack and unload...

Back to the real world... Until next time...

Tommy's first visit to Steinhatchee :)

I was able to talk Tommy into visiting the hidden paradise of Steinhatchee, FL!  I love this place, and I was hoping he would too. Friday night we made it over there after I got off of work and met up with my family and the rest of the crew!  We had stone crab claws and oysters!  It was delicious!  The next day we went to the American Legion for the BB gun shooting contest for turkeys.  It was a sight to watch.  We enjoyed the company and played some pool while we were there. We also had our first drinks together here. Eventually we took a ride out to Steinhatchee Falls so I could show Tommy some of the old Florida beauty.  Later we returned back to the Legion, and then ventured over to P-Nut and Glenda's house for Brandon's birthday!  We had a delicious dinner, and yummy cake!  Tommy got to hear me sing for the first time (karaoke), and we also got to dance to a few songs :) All and all it was a great weekend together, and with my family!
